The Barn at Powder Major’s Farm is a rustic yet elegant barn on a private country estate in seacoast NH. The 1804 timber frame has been lovingly restored with its original charm maintained and modern amenities such as restrooms and a warming kitchen added which sets the barn apart from more rustic farm locales. An adjoining timber frame structure also provides indoor space in the event of inclement weather. The farm was once home to NH patriot John DeMerritt, aka the ‘Powder Major’, and played an important role in the American Revolution. The historic property is surrounded by 200 acres of forest, fields and a pond providing beautiful views and a perfect setting for special events and weddings.
